TRAVEL BAGS 101

Danny and I just got back from Hawaii yesterday and the forecast for Vancouver is rain all week long FML. So as I write this I’m also looking up flights to Mexico – it’s always nice coming home but I can’t stay here for too long, especially in these grey/wet months.

We had such a great vacay and it was exactly what we wanted and needed – super relaxing with nothing but beach, sun, and cocktails.

I had posted a few picks with some beach bags I ordered for the trip and got a ton of questions around the bags – where to buy, quality etc. so I thought I would share some of my favourite beach and travel bags that I’ve picked up over the past year. The first bring this round straw handbag which I found on Amazon for only $32USD! Such a steal. I had a lot of questions around quality. When I first received it, it was a little misshapen, but as I used it throughout the trip it started to form back into it’s proper shape. Danny also said I could fill it and shape it as I’d like and spray with a little water to form it back to shape. The handles and bag in general are super sturdy – I used this almost everyday lugging around towels, water bottles etc. and had no issues. I also carried this onto the plane and filled it with my travel essentials. Definitely a must for tropical vacays and super budget friendly.

The next bag I picked up is this cute little market tote also from Amazon which was only $6!!!! This is super cute not only for vacay but for trips to the farmers market as well. Obviously you have to make sure whatever you’re packing isn’t going to slip through the holes – I just put all my little items into a small zip-up bag which worked out great. This bag was super small when I received it but it sort of stretches out as you use it.

The next bag is more of a carry-on. I love this adorable little bag – lightweight, an inside zip, and super cute for the gram ;). It also comes with short and long handles which I love because I can have it on my shoulder or rest it on top of my suitcase with the short handles. I picked this one up from Forever21 and it looks to be sold out but this site has a very similar option.

Last is more of a weekend tote and I use it all the time – perfect as a carry-on or for quick weekend getaways. Also the perfect neutral to pair with any travel look. This one is from Sole Society and to be honest, had I done it all over again I would have purchased the larger size – just a bit more room for all your travel essentials. But I still love this bag, again comes with short straps or a long shoulder strap to use how you prefer and inside pockets. Also has a shaper in the bottom to help keep the shape.

I am in love with the straw bag you found on amazon. Can you please share the seller or link you made your purchase? I have done a few searches now with no success. Thankyou so much!

I LOVE your “escape” bag! I may have to try and find one. My husband and I are getting ready for our Hawaii Vacation… but we don’t leave until April, so we have a bit of time to plan our stay and activities! Enjoyed reading your blog and I love your pictures on IG!
