WHAT WAS ON MY BABY REGISTRY

Let me begin by saying, going into registering, I had zero clue what I was doing and was 110% overwhelmed. The world of baby is a foreign one to me so I really had no idea what the essentials were when making registry decisions. We wanted a good mix of essentials and a couple ballin’ baby items. From what I’ve heard there are things you can cheap out on and others that are worth the investment. That being said I wanted to share exactly what we registered for, and why, in hopes of making it a little easier for any other first time moms who have literally no idea where to begin, like me. I partnered with buybuy BABY to create our registry as they had literally everything on our wishlist and their registry process is super easy with amazing staff to help put together the perfect list.

Let’s start with the big ticket items:

Stroller:
We decided to go with the Bugaboo Fox for a couple reasons – not only did it have great reviews, it’s also aesthetic af. The carrier starts as a bassinet and can transition into either front facing or rear facing for when babe is older.

Crib:
Okay, I think almost every single person advised me against the gold crib, but at the end of the day, your girl is the boss and she got the gold crib! This baby is STU-NNING. It’s more of a copper which I love and I think it’s perfect for either gender. I love how it stands out in the nursery and makes a statement.

Rocker:
A part of me really wanted an edgy/boho/rattan rocker, but at the end of the day, comfort is key. I’m going to be in this thing for many hours of the day so I had to switch my mind set and opted for something that was still aesthetic but most importantly uber comfortable. The Nursery Works Sleepytime Rocker is just that – I sometimes go and sit in it

Car Seat:
We went with the Nuna Pipa, and were advised to do this vs the Pipa lite as it has a higher weight limit and can be installed without the base which makes for easier travelling.

Swing:
We went with the 4Moms Mamaroo seat in black because my sister in law swears by it. It sways from side to side and up and down, can mimic being on a car ride, has a mobile above and can play white noise or music. However if you are on a budget I’ve also heard amazing things about the Fisher Price swing as well.

High Chair:
I had seen some pieces from Stokke before and loved their minimalist vibe. This high chair will go perfect with our home. It also has a washable harness and will grow with baby.

Monitor:
This monitor from Nanit is supposed to be the shhh. It connects to your phone, can zoom, has night vision, two way sound, you can even keep sound on while you’re phone is locked. It also tracks sleep patterns and more! Def the rolls royce of monitors.

  • Sound Machine: I heard amazing things about the Hatch and am so excited to put it to use! Controlled from your phone, nightlight for diaper changes or nursing sessions, and sounds to help babe sleep
  • Car Seat Cover: super cozy and chic for winter
  • Backseat mirror: for all eyes to be on Baby G at all times
  • Nursing Pillow: heard amazing things about this one and love that it’s in a soft white
  • Movement Monitor: okay this is an essential! It clips onto your babe and notifies you if no tummy movement in 15 seconds and sounds an alarm after another 5 seconds
  • Bath Tub Support: had great reviews and love that it has a built in hook for easy storage (hello apartment living)
  • Crib Mattress: pretty straight forward
  • Crib Sheets: wanted something soft, neutral, and 100% organic
  • Diaper Pail: you already know how tempted I was to go for the marble, but ultimately the white goes better in the room
  • Wipes Dispenser
  • Bottles: got these in both the 8oz and the 4oz
  • Nursing Pads: love that these are reusable and cute little hearts
  • Pacifiers: love that they’re dishwasher safe and the cable design
  • Teether: I mean, we had to get the little man a Sophie
  • Ear Thermometer
  • Nail Clippers
  • Snotsucker: LOL if you saw my stories on this you know how I feel about it but apparently it’s a lifesaver and a must have
  • Bib: love the design of these but also that they can be used as a bib or a burping cloth, also picked up this design
  • Newborn Bodysuits: ended up getting two packs of these which is amazing because I feel like baby will live in them. They also have fold over sleeves to prevent any scratches
  • Socks: I mean, could you die?!
  • Winter Hat, Mitten, Bootie Set: literally the cutest set ever
  • Zippered sleeper: love the print and that it comes with a little bandana

I’m sure there are some items that I missed but will be able to pick up along the way. I’m also planning to have my two sisters in law (who have a combined 10 kids) over so we can eat pizza and go over baby supplies to make sure there are/aren’t any last minute items I need to order! The 5.5 week countdown is on…..
